Beutea Singapore & Malaysia – What to Try?
Originating from Malaysia, Beutea (茶仙子) is a fast-growing tea brand known for pairing premium Chinese tea leaves with modern fruit blends and creative milk teas. With over 60 outlets in Malaysia and a rapidly expanding footprint in Singapore, it has become a go-to brand for drinkers who appreciate both authentic tea character and refreshing, contemporary flavours.
What Makes Beutea Stand Out?
Premium Tea Base
Beutea uses extracts from hand-picked tea leaves sourced from renowned Chinese tea mountains in Yunnan and Wuyi. Their brews follow traditional tea-ceremony techniques, moisten, soak, boil, brew, ensuring every drink is full of rich tea aroma and depth.
Premium Ingredients & Freshness
-
Fresh milk imported from New Zealand
-
Fresh fruit tea series uses over half a cup of fresh fruit per serving
-
Paired with highland Oolong or Jasmine tea for maximum clarity and fragrance
Healthy & Herb-Forward Options
Beutea also experiments with wellness-based drinks, including options with zero-calorie sugar.
Example: the Bitter Melon Coriander Tea, a surprising favourite among health-conscious customers.
2026 Special Update:
The Shiso Series (January Arrival)
Just dropped on 9 January 2026, Beutea has introduced
a sophisticated new flavor profile to Malaysia: the Shiso Series.
Inspired by the aromatic Japanese Shiso leaf (Perilla), these drinks are a
must-try if you’re looking for something more "zen" and less sugary
than traditional boba.
🌿 The Shiso Lineup:
- Shiso
Bayberry Tea: A vibrant, tangy blend of bayberry and shiso. It has a
beautiful deep purple hue and a tart, refreshing finish.
- Shiso
Peach Tea: A mellow, fruity infusion. The crispness of the shiso leaf
perfectly balances the floral sweetness of the peach.
💝 Limited Edition: The
Purple Charm Bundle
Beutea is famous for its "Gifts with Purchase,"
and the Shiso launch is no exception!
- The
Deal: Get 1 FREE Purple Charm (choose between the Purple
Daisy or Purple Love designs) when you purchase any 2 Shiso
drinks.
- These charms are highly limited! In 2026,
Beutea's "bag charms" have become massive collector's items. If
you want the Purple Daisy, I recommend going before the lunch
crowd—the KL outlets (1 Utama/Sunway Velocity) usually run out of stock by
mid-day
2026 update: Starting 6 February Limited Edition: Mandarin Orange Pomelo Tea (Malaysia & Singapore)
Mandarin Orange, fresh orange and zesty lime with Pomelo and Highland tea.

🌿 Health Audit Note: Bitter Melon Apple Tea
- Nutri-Grade:
Grade B (Singapore Official Rating)
- The
Secret: While most fruit teas land in Grade C due to the sugar in fruit
pulps, Beutea uses zero-calorie sugar as the default sweetener for this
specific drink.
- Calories:
It clocks in at only 135 kcal for a full serving—making it one of the
lowest-calorie "specialty" drinks on the menu.
Annabel’s "Health Hack" for Beutea
TIP: As of January 2026, Singapore’s Nutri-Grade regulations mandate that
freshly prepared drinks are graded based on their standard recipe (100%
sugar).
Beutea is known for being a "healthier" premium choice because they
use high-quality tea and fresh milk, keeping many of their milk teas in the Grade
B zone if you customize the sugar.
If you add toppings like Cheese Foam or Crystal
Jelly, your drink automatically jumps to Grade C or D. If you’re
watching your sugar, stick to the White Peach Oolong Milk Tea at 30% sugar, it’s
the 'holy grail' of healthy tea right now!"
✨ Final Thoughts & My Review
Many of us feel that Beutea is the go-to alternative to Chagee,
and in many ways, I agree. As a fan of fruity teas, I appreciate that Beutea
offers a much wider variety of fruit-based options. They are also great at
keeping things fresh with seasonal releases, like the Strawberry Series
introduced in late 2025 and the new Shiso Herbal Series launched in
early 2026.
The First-Sip Experience: The first time I tried Beutea, I loved it so much that I didn't just
finish my own cup—I ended up finishing half of my friend’s milk tea too!
However, a word of caution: even as a heavy tea drinker, I definitely felt a
significant caffeine kick afterward. Beutea uses premium highland tea
leaves which are quite potent.
Annabel’s Audit Tip: If you’re sensitive to caffeine or planning to enjoy your tea later in
the evening, I highly recommend sticking to their Fruit Tea series or
their new Botanical/Herbal blends. They offer that same premium
"sip" without the late-night jitters
